Kahuna Bay Spray Tan History

Kahuna Bay Spray Tan was founded by Andrea Bernath as a safe way to get a tan that looks natural, is healthy and does not carry the risk of being exposed to direct UV rays that contribute to premature aging, as well as, various types of skin cancer.

In 2006, Andrea, an avid tanner, was diagnosed with Melanoma; and thanks to the aggressive treatments of Doctors Kelleher and Vasiloudes at Academic Alliance in Dermatology, and the Doctors at Moffit Cancer Research Center in Tampa, Florida, Andrea is doing amazingly well.

Though the Kahuna Bay traditions have been passed onto new ownership, the service and products of Kahuna Bay Spray Tan are still very much intact. Kahuna Bay Spray Tan allows people to have a rich beautiful tan, without exposing themselves to harmful UV rays.

"Cancer of the skin is the most common of cancers, probably accounting for at least half of all cancers. Melanoma accounts for less than 5% of skin cancer cases but causes a large majority of skin cancer deaths. The American Cancer Society estimates that about 62,480 new melanomas will be diagnosed in the United States during 2008," (American Cancer Society).
